Privacy
This page describes how MyPDF actually handles your files today. It is a plain-language product summary, not a substitute for legal review — if you need a formal privacy policy for a real deployment, have it reviewed by counsel.
Which tools upload your file
Convert to PDF runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded — it is read, converted, and turned into a downloadable PDF on your own device.
Merge PDF, Split PDF, and Convert from PDF upload your file to this app's server so it can be processed. The file is sent only for the duration of that one request.
How server-processed files are handled
Files uploaded to Merge, Split, or Convert from PDF are held in memory only for the duration of the request that processes them. They are not written to a database, object storage, or disk, and are not intentionally retained anywhere after the response is sent.
Configured limits
Merge accepts up to 10 files, each up to 4 MB, with the combined upload capped at 4 MB and each PDF capped at 500 pages.
Split accepts one PDF up to 4 MB and up to 500 pages, and up to 50 output ranges per request.
Convert from PDF accepts one PDF up to 4 MB and up to 100 pages, since text extraction and document generation are more resource-intensive per page.
These limits exist because this app runs on serverless functions with a hard request-body ceiling and a bounded execution time, not as an arbitrary restriction.
What is logged
Server-backed operations record a structured diagnostic entry: the operation type, how long it took, whether it succeeded or failed, an error code when applicable, the input byte count, and the page count. Filenames and document content are never logged.
Office conversion fidelity
Convert from PDF is best-effort text extraction, not a layout-accurate conversion — fonts, exact positioning, forms, annotations, charts, and complex tables are not reproduced, and scanned or image-only pages are not supported. Office-format conversions in Convert to PDF are similarly best-effort and can lose layout or formatting fidelity, or fail on unsupported content.
